Joey’s First Thanksgiving

We spent Joey’s first thanksgiving at the lake house.  What an awesome setting to celebrate.  Joey tried (and enjoyed) turkey with gravy.  He also had some sweet potatoes and squash.  Unfortunately, he had a hard time sleeping through in his lake house crib so he spent most of the time in bed with us.

My mom brought all of our old toys up to the lake for Joey to play with.  He loved one in particular…

Lori’s favorite childhood toy is now Joey’s favorite!

The weather was nice enough that Joey even got to experience his first campfire.  He enjoyed the feel of the cold wind so much that he kept his tongue hanging out nearly the entire time he was outside…Next M.J.?

After dinner, we spent the remainder of the night preparing for Baby Bohrer.  We had so much fun making her custom onesies.  Here are a few samples…

On Friday morning, we left Joey with the lake house crew, as we had my 10 year reunion (and Howard’s birthday celebration) to attend Friday night downtown.  Five minutes after we left the lake, we kept getting funny pictures of Joey texted to us.

Abby and Cari gave Joey his Hannukah present a few weeks early, with the assumption they could take it back and re-gift to him in a few weeks without him ever remembering.

Overall, Joey definitely got plenty of attention and Abby and Cari noted how Joey was the most effective birth control on the market…
