We woke up this morning and decided to pull the plug on the bottle. We knew he liked milk (we gave it to him in his bottle for a few days) so we just had to break the bottle habit. We figured “weening” him would only confuse him more so we chose the “cold turkey” approach. Despite Joey protesting all day long, we held strong! So did he…He’ll only take one sip of milk from the before throwing it on the ground, but will still drink ice water from the sippy cup. We decided to trick him a bit tonight and spiked his cup with chocolate milk. It worked! We figure we’ll continue this strategy for a few days, reducing the amount of chocolate each time.
Unfortunately, Joey came down with a fever tonight so he got to have a small bottle (laced with Tylenol) tonight before bed 🙁
