6 mo. & 2 year checkups!

Greg and I took the boys for their checkups last night.  We planned to go to Whole Foods before our 7PM appointments, but it started pouring just as we arrived.  Joey insisted on coming in with me to pick out his own dinner (pizza and edamame) and thats when we realized we forgot to put shoes on him.  For those of you who ever find yourself in this situation, please know that Whole Foods does not carry shoes/socks for toddlers.

Joey ate dinner in the exam room while we waited for the doctor.  Dinner served as a nice distraction (and kept him off his bare feet) until the doctor walked in, and then he proceeded to lose it.   The next 20 minutes were filled with tears.  Fortunately, both kids checked out great!  We have never appreciated Thomas and Friends on the ipad as much as we did last night!

I’m excited that I no longer have to stock the fridge with whole milk and skim milk, and that Joey can begin eating low fat cheeses instead of all of the full-fat foods.  We were also encouraged to not push toilet training quite yet!

Benji checked out perfectly as well.  The doctor said that physically “he seems to be a 10-month-old trapped in a 6 month-olds body”.  He’s SO strong and amazes us each day with his new tricks.

We’re so proud of our boys!
