Bubbie Overload!

Joey and Bubbie got to spend Friday and Saturday together (Zeyde joined them too).  They started their day on Friday at nursery school.  It was picture day so Joey was dressed extra spiffy.  None of the kids, including Joey, would sit for a class picture so all of the caregivers, parents and grandparents had to jump in the photo with them.

Snack time is still his favorite part of school….

Joey came home for a quick nap before heading to Bubbie and Zeyde’s for Shabbat.  He was in a good mood Friday night, which made dinner a lot of fun!  He was talking up a storm and Uncle Vinnie and Lori were cracking him up!  He was having so much fun that he decided to spend the night 🙂  We’re hoping to have a Little Panozzo by next Shabbat (Lori is 39 weeks along)!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Greg and I got to sleep in this morning and then met Bubbie, Zeyde and Joey for lunch at Rainforest Cafe.  Although tired, Joey loved it there!  He especially loved the fish tanks.  We strategically sat facing one so he was thoroughly entertained throughout the meal.

Enjoying the beautiful day!

It was so nice out yesterday that Breanna dug out the water table for Joey.  He had a great time splashing around!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I got home from work, it was still gorgeous outside so I decided I had to take him to the park while we waited for Greg to finish working.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once Joey spotted the games of football going on, he was quickly over the jungle gym.  The older kids were really cute and played “monkey in the middle” with him for about 20 minutes.

We wrapped up the night with our weekly trip to Costco.  Joey basically had samples for dinner, especially enjoying the garlic bread and (unwashed) strawberries we bought.   He did save room for pizza and soft serve yogurt, too.  What a well-balanced dinner!

Highwood Pumpkin Fest

We headed up to Highwood last night for the Pumpkin Fest.  It was extremely crowded and turning into more of an adult fest when we got there so we didnt stay long.

Shabbat Shalom

Joey refused to nap yesterday afternoon so we had some time to hang before heading to Bubbie and Zeyde’s for Shabbat.  We played drums with the pots and pans but Joey decided this was more fun….

We’re having another linebacker!

We had an ultrasound for G2 today (31.5 weeks).  He’s head down and ready to go (although I’m predicting that he’ll be late)!  Overall, he’s measuring a little over two weeks ahead (78 percentile overall in size).  His head is in the 99 percentile, just as Joey’s was and measuring 5 weeks large (36.5 weeks). His stomach is measuring in the 84 percentile (33 weeks). Comparing Joey’s stats to G2’s, I think they’ll be right around the same weight and G2 will be a little shorter.  Just 9 week until we meet him!

Climber

Joey’s become quite the climber in the last few weeks.  We had to get rid of our bar stool tonight because he climbed up it and then on to the stove.  He’s also been climbing onto the kitchen table lately (see below).

Quick visit with Grandpa

Grandpa was in Chicago for just 24 hours before heading off to Italy for a few weeks (rough life, huh?)  He came over yesterday afternoon to get in a good wrestling session before dinner!

Swimming with Zeyde

Zeyde took an early train downtown last night so he could go swimming with Joey before dinner.  Joey hadnt been in a pool for a few months so we werent sure how he’d respond.  He was a little hesitant at first, but had a great time!

Joey’s nursery school activity this week was to make and braid challahs.  Joey refused to braid and, instead, made a football….

 

 

 

 

 

We wrapped up the night with Bubbie and Aunt Michy changing Joey’s diaper and getting him in PJ’s.  Somehow, they missed some poop and it ended up all over Joey’s back (and Alex).  After a quick bath, Joey was as good as new (Alex is still recovering, however).

Thursday Playdate

Our Thursday playgroup was huge this week!  We had Jordan, Max, Lucy, Jacob, Sam, Olivia and Scarlett!  It’s really fun to see them begin to play with one another, not just parallel to one another!  Greg walked in from work like a deer in headlights.  I forgot to inform him of our afternoon plans…oops 🙂

Snack time lasted the entire play group.  It was as though they had never been fed before…

The kids loved the parachute and bubbles too.  After most of his guests left, Joey had to decompress for a few minutes on his own.  He sat on the couch quietly wearing Greg’s hat and playing with his car.  I don’t think he’s ever had so many people playing with his toys at once.  He handled it all VERY well!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lucy and Joey had a nice wrestle session when it was just the two of them left.  They both loved climbing all over the couch (and each other).

Football

Joey’s football obsession is getting a little out-of-control!  I swear he says “football” at least 100Xday.  He also says it for hours in his crib as well.

When it comes time for pajamas, Joey will only wear his football ones.  I’ve been doing a lot of extra laundry these days!

Zeyde was at a convention last week and collected over 20 free footballs for Joey.  He was so overwhelmed with excitement when they appeared on Sunday that he stood for an entire minute to just take it all in.  Soon after, he began collecting all of them.  Despite his best efforts, he could only hold 4 at a time.
