The ultrasound tech warned us that we shouldn’t be alarmed by silence because it probably too early to hear a heartbeat.\u00a0 When the TV turned on and the sound was working, all we could say was \u201cHoly &*$@\u201d.\u00a0 We heard a heartbeat even before we saw an image…Our baby was already ahead of his\/her time.\u00a0 We couldn\u2019t believe something was living inside of me. Hearing the heartbeat, however, was extremely convincing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was real\u2026This was going to happen.\u00a0 The tech explained what we were looking at (which was basically a small, round beating image) and said the baby looked to be 6 weeks, 6 days.\u00a0 There was no head or fingers to make out.\u00a0 After we were finished, Greg and I starred at the ultrasound picture while we waited to meet with our doctor.\u00a0 I realized that Greg thought the huge black blog was the baby (which was really\u00a0my uterus) and the white image was\u00a0his\/her heart.\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t stop laughing, thinking how adorable he was (and thinking how much we both had to learn in the coming months).\u00a0<\/p>\n
