Greg came home last night and built Joey’s new bike. Joey was so excited to “help” him set it up, it took twice as long as it should have.
Joey wouldn’t get on the bike after all of that! We let him push it around for a while to get comfortable…
(Yes, I know he isn’t wearing a helmet…different battle for another day)
Bubbie called yesterday to ask permission to take both boys for a sleepover. I reminded her that no such permission was needed and she could take both boys ANY TIME she was up for the challenge!
Greg and I had a date night! We went to Girl & the Goat (for the first time!)
Bubbie called around 10PM to let us know she forgot she had taken Joey’s crib to the lake and that he would be sleeping in a big boy bed. After almost driving north to pick him up, I settled down!

On Saturday night, Greg went to the Hawks playoff game with Ricky, while I took the boys over to Mindy’s for a play date!
I spent time with the kids Sunday morning so Greg could catch up on some sleep! The boys played with the trains (Joey even picked out some track for Benji to munch on).
Joey and Greg had a special outing out together late Sunday morning. They headed to Wrigley with Aunt Abby to watch batting practice before the Cubs played.

We had Shabbat downtown on Friday night. We opted to stay home from the summer house because the weather forecast wasn’t great. It ended up being a beautiful evening!

We walked to Division for some frozen yogurt. We were getting all kinds of looks as our parade marched down the street.
Joey’s been making a pit stop before bed each night. He usually goes #1 right away. We’re still patiently waiting for #2!

Joey spent the morning hanging with Nanny and Poppy yesterday to celebrate Nanny’s birthday!
We all headed to Nanny and Poppy’s condo last night to celebrate…Joey LOVES it there, especially with all of the fun toys to play with!

Greg received Trunk Club gift certificates for his birthday this year so made our way there yesterday. 3.5 hours later, he walked out with a new wardrobe! Despite being there so long, he didn’t complain once.
Benji loved it too!

While we were out shopping, Joey was with Bubbie and Zeyde. He slept over the night before and headed to shul in the morning. Bubbie and Zeyde said it was the first time Joey got sad after we left. He waited by the door crying “Mommy’s car”. They were able to distract him with a late night walk and ice cream.

We had an evening in the suburbs last night, visiting with the Bohrers. We went up for a late-afternoon play date and dinner. It’s so much fun finally watching the kids play WITH one other.

Joey had his first 1:1 swim lesson last night. Greg took Joey while I stayed home to watch Benji and make dinner…
Despite a few tears, he did great!
Hopefully he’ll feel a little more comfortable each week!

Nanny came to spend some time with Joey this morning. They headed to the grocery store first and Nanny’s apartment.
