We had the genius idea of checking out Legoland for the first time on Christmas Day. It was nearly empty!
Joey really liked the 4D movie – Benji was scared and wanted to leave about halfway through. Not quite ready for Disney, I guess!

The boys would sleep at Nanny & Poppy’s every weekend if they could! Today, they went to a show at the theater and than headed up north to play in the basement. They weren’t even interested in stopping for lunch in route!
Last month they checked out a new museum!
Goldie has no idea what to do with herself when her brothers are gone. She’s so used the the chaos that she actually needs to be entertained by us when they aren’t here!
We can’t believe Goldie is already 6 months old! She continues to be the happiest baby around!
She’s working on sitting (she can do it but we can’t leave her sitting alone quite yet) and she’s beginning to show an interest in moving (although far from crawling).
Chatting away…
She’s also working on holding her own bottle.
She thinks are brothers are hilarious and could watch them for hours at a time without any additional entertainment.
She doesn’t love loud noises (we’ll see how she does at the Hawks Game tonight) but LOVES music and watching us sing. She’s just weaning from nursing (although if it were up to her, she’d remain attached to me 24/7 – such a mama’s girl!)
She is FINALLY sleeping in her own crib consistently and isn’t being swaddled anymore. She sleeps from about 7:30 – 11PM (up for a bottle) and than from 11-6. We can’t complain compared to how often she had been waking from months 3-6.
We can’t wait to see what these next 6 months bring!
We had a great time celebrating Benji’s birthday!
We woke up nice and early and all enjoyed a cartoon of Benji’s choice in bed.
Joey was very excited to give Benji the gift he had picked out (he went shopping with Greg the day before) so we opened it before breakfast!
We had breakfast with Grandpa on Taylor street and than went swimming at Bubbie & Zeyde’s condo!

We had a big family dinner at Lou Malnati’s that night. He was thrilled to have his own party!
Grandma and Grandpa came in for the week to celebrate – we had a great time hanging out!
The boys were really old enough this year to anticipate the excitement of Hannukah. They began a count down 2 weeks prior and couldnt wait to light the candles on night 1!
We read three different Hannukah books each night, beginning at T-7 days. Joey really does understand the meaning behind the holiday now.

The gift the kids appreciated most this year was “hand me down” Legos from Naiya and Ellis. They have been playing with them non-stop!
Benji was SO exhausted after a super fun day / night!
Goldie received her first pink, new toy from us. I’m very proud that we’ve lasted this long with hand-me-downs from Sophie and the boys!

The kids werent super excited for this event until they got there and saw that one of the activities was building a dreidel out of Legos. They were thrilled!

Goldie continues to amaze us with her easy-going personality.
She’s just about always happy, loves toys and is busy babbling and practicing her sitting.
She LOVES to eat. She’s had baby food and even some mandarin oranges and a few other solid foods. If you try and cut her off too soon, she’ll fuss.
The boys are still treating her like a princess and she loves their attention. I’m anxious to see what happens when she starts crawling (and accessing their toys!)
She hasn’t shown a huge interest in crawling yet and still fusses pretty quickly when we attempt tummy time….
She’s very much a mama’s girl at this point.

Aunt Cari babysat so we could sneak out for anniversary dinner (#6). She did great! Goldie even hit a new milestone with her (pooping in the tub).
Her sleep hasn’t been so great for the last few months (mostly sleeping in her rock-in-play in our room or in our bed with us). We officially moved her to her bed this week and she’s been doing better…it’s great to finally get more than a few hours of sleep again!
She LOVES to eat! We started giving her solids at about 5 months. She looked pretty pathetic chewing at the dinner table as she watched her brothers eat. She doesn’t discriminate too much – she loves just about everything so far!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year – the first in a while! We’re normally always sick for the holiday but this year, we managed to recuperate just in time! We kicked off the holiday by spending the day with Nanny, Poppy & The Goodman clan.

We celebrated Mom & Dad’s 60th Birthday by throwing a party for them and their closest friends. We had originally intended for it to be a surprise party but then decided Bubbie would prefer to know so she could shop for an outfit. We all had a great time!
