All of the kids have an on-going obsession with “Uncle Billy.” I think they think he’s another one of the kids. Billy can’t relax around them….they always want to play!

We finally switched Joey from his crib to a toddler bed. After falling out of his crib a few too many times, we were left with no choice. I’m so glad we waited this long and hopefully we can wait even longer for Benji!!
Keeping Joey in his room has been quite the project. We first started with a baby gate…
15 minutes later…
After figuring out 3 different door locks, we had to call in the professionals….The childproofer came over and came up with a true “baby proof” solution. He also had to add a cover to Joey’s baby monitor because Joey was unplugging it so we couldn’t watch his breakout attempts.
I had an early morning meeting to attend so Greg was in charge of drop off! They took a taxi to school and had a “chocolate” breakfast. Joey loves this 1:1 time!
Joey was pleasantly surprised when Nanny and Poppy showed up to be the mystery readers! They brought in one of his favorite books, “Digger, Dozer, Dumper.”
Joey requested that more of his family come in to read!
Aunt Michy pulled off another fantastic costume for Halloween! The weather turned out to be terrible the night of Halloween so we just headed to the Burnett’s for dinner. The kids got in the bobsled just for a photo opp and were happy playing for the rest of the evening.
Joey looks forward to every opportunity to be a leader in his classroom. One of the leadership roles is as “Morning Meeting Manager.” Each day, we hear who was chosen and what they shared with the class….Usually they cover the calendar, weather and daily schedule. His teachers shared he was grinning from ear to ear!
Joey had a great time at pump it up attending back-2-back birthday parties for a few of his classmates!
Joey is under that pile….
We went back to the pumpkin patch and brought Noah and Aunt Michy along this time. The boys had a great time!
Me and my 3.5 year old!
Eating BBQ sauce straight from the container
The best group shot we could get….
Cari shared some very exciting news last week! She was selected for Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s list of “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch” for 2014! She was the youngest person ever selected for this honor!
We celebrated on Break the Fast and Zeyde had an awesome cake made!
Check out her spread in the magazine…
We’re all so proud of you!
We had another fabulous New Years Celebration this year. The boys had such a blast playing with their cousin at Nanny and Poppy’s!
Enjoying dessert!
We headed to shul this morning and then to Bubbie’s and Zeyde’s.
Aunt Michy made the kids New Years goodie bags filled with treats. Joey was thrilled about his new helicopter!
We took advantage of a Family Night at Pump It Up. Greg worked late and we met Noah, Bubbie, Aunt Michy and Aunt Abby at the gym!
We also had the younger kids try a gym class at EBC this week. They loved having the space to just run around!
Dizzy Benji
Continuing to practice the new skills they learned….
We took the boys to the pumpkin patch last weekend and they had a blast! We woke Aunt Cari up nice and early so we could arrive before it got crowded. We started on the massive trampoline and the kids could have kept going for hours.
Corn Maze
Corn pool!
Downward dog!
Back to the trampoline we went!
Heading to the park…Notice Pacman in the stroller….
We checked out the South Loop Street Fest last weekend. What a pleasant surprise….The kids had a blast!
We were surprised to see that Joey wanted to ride the pony and Benji wasn’t interested. Joey had a great time!
