Joey’s had a cold for the past week. He’s still been sleeping well, but our options have been limited as to what we can do to keep busy because I dont want to get anyone else sick (he passed the cold to me).
Napping on the couch
Nanny came to visit on Thursday and took him to the park!
We went to the Shedd Aquarium on Friday instead of going swimming. I had no idea it was a free day for all Illinois residents. We arrived by 9AM and there was already a line out the door. After 20 mintes of waiting in line, I realized I left his shoes in the car. There was no way I was going back to get them, though. I paid the extra big bucks just to try and avoid some of the crowds and our first stop was the gift shop. The only thing I could find for Joey so he could get out of his stroller were these giant socks.
We went to the aquatics show first. Despite the fact that he couldn’t sit still the entire time, I think he liked watching the huge fish jump out of the water.
We left about half way through because I felt like we were ruining the show for everyone else. He kept wanting to get out of his seat and watch from the glass.
We’ll be waiting a few more years before we return. Fortuantely, as the show was still going on, we got to sneak underground to see the fish swim in their tanks. Joey was way more impressed with the close-up views.
He also loved the penguins
Side note: Joey’s talking a bit more these days. Here’s his list of words: Mama, Dada, more, nana (banana), melmo (Elmo), and his favorite, “no!”
