Uncle Dickie volunteered to take our bags home on his flight a day earlier. We didn’t give it a second thought! Little did we know, we’d be stuck in Puerto Rico for is exactly 1 week and 4 hours longer than we had intended. The bitter cold prevented caused our flight to be cancelled and re-booking was a nightmare!
We decided on a change of scenery, once we knew we were in it for the “long haul”. Bubbie, Zeyde and Cari helped us out by brining Benji home and the three remaining Goodmans were off to Old San Juan!
Benji, of course, was a perfect angel on the flight! They reported he LOVED watching videos of Joey and ate all of the food offered up in first class!
Checking out the view from our new hotel
Joey was happy to hang in the room while Greg and I tried to get some work done. One morning he said, “No more pool. Can I just lay in bed and watch a movie?”
Checking out the forts
So happy to explore!
Checking out the cruise ships!
Old San Juan Children’s Museum – we didn’t think about the fact that everything would be in spanish…Fortunately, Joey didn’t seem to mind!
The Goodmans!
Pool time!
Mofongo!
Ready for Shul with Bubbie!
Hanging out of the trolley
Joey LOVED the self-serve ice cream place! He skipped the ice cream and opted for toppings-only!
So happy to have something different than Mofongo!
Cheers!
Walking the streets of Old San Juan
Although we no longer had a direct flight, we were so happy to finally get home that we didn’t care! Great trip, great to be home!
